About Us
At Code4NYC, our mission is to empower the next generation of tech leaders by providing hands-on coding education that builds confidence, creativity, and real-world skills.

Created For Students, By Students
Code4NYC is a student-led organization founded by a group of high school students wanting to make a difference. Recognizing the persistent digital divide and the essential nature of programming skills, Code4NYC was created to serve middle school students who are enthusiastic to learn about programming but may not have the necessary resources to do so.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SBG)
In 2015, the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a global blueprint of 17 interconnected goals designed to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world by 2030.

These goals address the most pressing challenges of our time, from eradicating poverty and hunger to promoting quality education, gender equality, and climate action.

Our Focus: Quality Education
At Code4NYC, we are committed to advancing Goal 4: Quality Education, which calls for inclusive and equitable education opportunities for all. We believe that every student, regardless of background, deserves access to the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Through free Python programming courses for middle school students across New York City, Code4NYC empowers young learners with coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence to explore technology. By making computer science education accessible, we help close opportunity gaps, foster innovation, and prepare the next generation of changemakers.
What We Do
We offer comprehensive coding courses in various programming languages and frameworks, with a focus on real-world applications. At Code4NYC, students don’t just learn theory—they work on projects that mirror the challenges they’ll face in the tech world. This hands-on experience helps build not only technical skills but also the problem-solving mindset that sets our graduates apart. Our approach?
